Group Study Exchange Team visits Rotary Club of Mobay


Erin Kennaugh, Adam Dreyer, Myfanwy Stanfield, Carolyn Wilkes, together with Team Leader, Artie Seewald from District 9640 (Northern New South Wales and Southern Queensland, Australia were recently in Montego Bay as The Rotary Foundation's Australian-Caribbean Group Study Exchange Team.

The Team spent two weeks in Jamaica as part of their Five week visit to the Caribbean.
While in the West, the Team also visited the Rotary Club of Falmouth and the Rotary Club of Montego Bay East.

The Rotary Foundation’s Group Study Exchange (GSE) program is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for businesspeople and professionals between the ages of 25 and 40 who are in the early stages of their careers. The program provides travel grants for teams to exchange visits in paired areas of different countries. For four to six weeks, team members experience the host country's culture and institutions, observe how their vocations are practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas.

Maria Ho Sue becomes member of Rotary Club of Montego Bay

On April 14, 2009, the Rotary Club of Montego Bay inducted its newest member, Mrs. Maria Ho Sue.

Rotarian Maria is an Assistant Vice President at First Global Financial Services, and has worked in Banking and Sales all her working life. She is married to Hopeton and has one son, Mark. She Her hobbies include reading and gardening and she is a Director of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce.

Early Act Community Project

The Early Act Club of the Greenwood Preparatory School carried out its wonderful community project on the 2nd of April 2009 by paying a very special visit to the Eldercare Nursing Home in Wiltshire, Trelawny.
